The EMD SD40 is an American 6-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors. Between 1966 and 1972, GM built 1268 of these locomotives before introducing the new SD40-2.

Overview

Broadway Limited's first run will include models of ten different railroads with prototypically accurate road numbers, paint schemes, and road-specific details and lighting. Each model has the newest Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC control system featuring Rolling Thunder, and is equipped with an integral GoPack capacitor pack.
