S2 Body

The S2 design, originally made popular for the 1/10th off-road crowd, had a lot of influence over this design. In a chat with chief drivers JR Mitch, Tyler Jones and Reno Savoya, the S2 was suddenly born. Starting a project like this is not an easy task, the drivers are demanding. Make it “cool looking,” “more radical” and it needs to perform just as well as it looks is typically the feedback delivered to the design team during these projects. Set constraints require the body to clear certain fixed items in the chassis and allow the new features to guide and control the performance. The S2 is perhaps the lowest and most muscular JConcepts body ever produced. The S2 sports a forward cab, low-profile stance with channeled roof and rear stabilizing fin. The front of the pods have deep pocketed, “force-bars” which have shown to channel some air in a much needed forward position while also providing a more rigid feel to the body. The L.P. side-pods whisk over the electrical and step where necessary, but it’s the rear wicker section that improves rear-end grip and tightens up the handling.
