This kit is a 1950s custom creation by the famous car customizer, George Barris. The Ala Kart began as a ’29 Ford roadster pickup and was modified to become this unique hot rod—one of Barris’ most famous and recognized creations. It features three engine options: the Dodge Red Ram Hemi engine (1958-1959), Fuel Induction System engine (1959-1962), and Fuel Injection System engine (1963). Also included: one-piece removable top, chromed undercarriage, detailed grille frame with nerf bars, Desoto taillights, and optional bullet taillights. This kit comes with many chromed parts! Fully paintable, it also features an expanded authentic water-slide decal sheet in vintage style AMT packaging.
1/25 Scale, 114 Parts, 5.5 inches long once assembled. Parts molded in white with clear, clear red and chrome plastic, plus four black vinyl tires. Plastic model kit paint and cement required (Testors or Tamiya brands recommended). Skill Level 2. For ages 14+.
