1/10 2008 Ford F-150 SuperCab Clear Body: Monster Truck

Overview

The 2008 Ford F-150 MT body is an example of how connected JConcepts can be to its base. It also continues our tradition of offering options for the growing and impactful RC Monster truck community.

The team set-off on a plan for the RC World Finals showing during the Las Vegas event and with a thin time-line, the crew delivered. The 2008 Ford F-150 debuted to the friendly crowd wrapped in a familiar design to showcase this awesome new shell. The 2004 model year was the redesign year for Ford and while the 2008 was a building block on that generation, the 2008 might be the best looking and performing of that generation.

Externally, the eleventh-generation model was different, with sharper-edged styling; a significant update was the blending of the stepped driver's window from the Super Duty trucks. JConcepts has built this truck to specifications with the chiseled grille to busty Supercab all the way down to the bumper and nifty MT specific front chin spoiler. It looks aggressive both because of development but also because of a new generation demand.

The monster trucks have gigantic tires and the 2008 Ford takes this into consideration with the front fender and bed sides being left without traditional wheel and fender wells. This allows maximum versatility in a segment that has a wide range of set-ups chassis designs and most importantly, wheelbase. The customer can now choose their own wheel well arc and position to match to their specific application and length.

Decal design is a constant focus and with all JConcepts bodies, a quality sheet is included with grille, headlight and taillight layout. Many JConcepts logos, brands and product names have also been included to give a full-compliment of use-able artwork. Best of all, the new body delivers the style that today’s Monster Trucker is looking for without compromising on the rugged and dependable qualities.
