Airplane Kits
Tower Hobbies offers a wide selection of airplane kits for different skill levels. With airplane kits, you'll do most or all of the building. Some kits may be laser-cut balsa wood airplanes only and allow you to select the finishing materials, paints, or covering film. Other airplane kits may include vacuum-molded cowlings. Be sure to check the description of the airplane kit for whatâs included and what youâll need for completion. RC airplane kits will require a radio system, power system, and support equipment.

Do you love to tinker, assemble, and customize? Airplane kits are perfect for that! Airplane kits come in a variety of assembly materials and skill levels. There are static model airplanes made from vacuum-molded plastic and/or laser-cut balsa that may have everything a beginner needs, minus tools, to get you started in the hobby. Then there are rubber band powered airplanes and electric model airplane kits ready to be turned into an RC airplane once electronics are installed (usually sold separately for customization by more advanced hobbyists). Not all airplane kits are a balsa wood frame, but youâll find that many are.
