My name is Cody Siler, and I work on the Web Team here at Tower Hobbies. I have been racing RC cars since I was a little kid and have been racing more seriously for the last two years. I have also raced motocross for my entire life, and that is what I consider myself best at. I will race anything on two wheels which is why I am also a road cyclist, mountain biker, and BMX racer.
I love my TLR 1/10 off-road vehicles, which is why I have picked some to highlight. The TLR community is great, and I really appreciate how supportive all their drivers have been towards me.
I learned how to fly RC planes through Realflight right before I started working at Tower Hobbies and love my UMX Turbo Timber. In fact, I have purchased a 1.5m plane, and am waiting for the weather to break so I can maiden it. I also fly a Blade Nano S3 around inside during the winter.
While my list of items below are just a sample of some of my favorites, I truly believe they are some of the best offerings on the market. I hope these staff picks can bring you the same amount of fun as they have brought me!

The Losi Mini-T 2.0 is a ton of fun, whether you are a life-long racer, or have never driven before. Some of the best times I have ever had with RC is racing minis with some friends at a track or in a garage, and not taking things too seriously. This brushless Mini-T comes ready to race right out of the box, with no necessary mods.
Typically, the fastest class at any local track will be the 4WD Buggy classes. They have been described as the “F1” cars of the off-road RC world. With that being said, the TLR 22X-4 ELITE has been the choice of some of the world’s fastest racers, which has led to some incredible results. I absolutely love both of my 22X-4 ELITE vehicles, which I built with Hobbywing 13.5 motors, XR10 Pro ESC’s, Spektrum S6240 Servos, SR2100 Receivers, and Pro-line tires. On dirt or carpet, this vehicle is an absolute rocket, with the box setup being great, particularly on dirt. If you are interested in a 4WD buggy, I could not recommend this more highly.
