RC Surface Transmitters

Surface radios or transmitters are also called "pistol-grip radios," as they are held similar to a pistol. They can easily be categorized by the numbers of channels they are capable of controlling. The most basic RC vehicles require 2 channels: one for steering and another for throttle. The number of channels they control are often stated in the name of the radio. Many RC vehicles require more than 2 channels. Some RC crawlers require an additional channel for the control of a winch or dig unit. RC tanks also need additional channels to operate the turret and other scale features.
