The original 2PL was billed as the perfect first computer system for beginners and RTR owners. No wonder: It had simple 1-button programming and 3-character naming for 10-model memory. It had digital trims you could change anytime, servo reversing on all channels, dual rates (adjustable on the grip) for steering, and on throttle, EPA (with separate settings for both sides of neutral) and ABS braking, which you could set for slow/medium or fast pulse rates — or just turn off. What could be better? How about the same radio with all of the same features (down to the low battery alarm), plus FM signal strength and clarity, an R153F micro receiver, 1-year warranty and a choice of three versions!
