Brushed and Brushless RC Motors
There are two main types of RC motors â brushed and brushless. Tower Hobbies carries a wide selection of both to fit your next build or project. Brushless motors offer a longer lifespan and better energy efficiency, but typically cost more. Brushed motors are great for beginners as they learn the skills they need to handle their RC car, truck, buggy, or truggy. As top speed and acceleration become more of a priority, many RC drivers will swap out their brushed motor to a brushless RC motor.
