40K carburetor has a diagonally placed needle valve so you don't need a remote needle valve.

The Best Engine Ever
Review by Ksatogo on 5 Oct 2017review stating The Best Engine Ever
I bought this engine about 5 months ago and the first start was at the end of july. I used this engine in a tiger 2 Carl Goldberg, unfortunately I had an accident, I lost the tail, so the airplane just crashed on the field so quickly (free fall). I got a crack near to the carburator but theres a guy in my hometown who fixed it, and it runs perfectly. Now I'm gonna use it in a tuned Tiger 3.

I bought this engine about 2 months ago and put it on my Avistar Elite which I also purchased from Tower Hobbies it has proven to be a powerful little engine. I plan on putting another OS .55 ax engine on my Strega that I purchased from Tower Hobbies.

Review by Maxi on 5 Aug 2020review stating Very Reliable Engine
I have owned 3 of these engines and have always been very happy with their performance and reliability. I usually run Cool Power 15% fuel and use a #7 or #8 glow plug. If you follow the manufacturer's break-in process and run the engine rich for the first few flights, you can't go wrong. One word of advice: When you get the engine running well, stop tuning and fly. You should not have to tune the engine every time you go to the field. If the engine runs well, leave the needle alone. Another word of wisdom is "it's ok to run the engine a little rich". Rich running engines will not quit in the air.
