This plane has balance issues.
Review by Mode O. on 19 Apr 2019review stating This plane has balance issues.
I purchased this plane three weeks ago to build and fly with a FA 56 Satio. The plane built great with good hardware and fastners. The issue I run into was trying to balance the plane. With the standard motor mount that came with plane and motor installed the plane was 10.2 ounces tail heavy! This required me making a one inch thick spacer to go between motor mount and firewall.I also added four ounces of lead weight in hatch compartment close to firewall to get the plane to balance a little nose heavey. I haven't flew the plane on its maiden yet but I feel it should fly good. This plane maybe a great setup with electric with the battery extra weight for getting the plane to balance without any issues. With a nitro setup the plane needs to be redsigned. I have included pictures of changes tht were made.

Review by Buildnfly on 27 Sep 2017review stating A real bargain for an excellent flying plane.
This plane is much better looking in person than in the pictures. Take off and landing is extremely difficult with the provided landing gear as the wheels are moved too far aft resulting in nose-overs.. Fortunately, the landing gear from the Escapade 40, available as a spare part, will bolt on and solves the problem.

Review by Pile on 13 Sep 2019review stating great plane
buy one. This is a great plane. It takes off easy flies easy and lands easy. Great 2nd plane or just one that is a joy to fly. It can do loops rolls or what ever you want. Flies great slow or fast. Get one before they are gone. Great price.

Review by Moparpilot on 17 Dec 2017review stating Phoenix Models Dolphin
Got the dolphin on black friday sale..10% off with free shipping..$ 99 is going to break the bank..I have phoenix Decathlon and it too is well covered .Landing gear is drilled offset..So I ordered a ser of Escapade gear and bolts right in!! Helps so the plane doesnt nose over..As with most arfs I added some balsa and epoxey to the landing gear mount..I went with OS 50 SX ringed engine for power.Balance was perfect by the instructions!! Flies very well and slows down nicely on landings.I was surprised at how aerobatic it is!! Bottom.of plane is gray.mI added black and white checker board to help on cloudy days.99 bucks is a deal!@
