The Power of TRX2.5 Elevating Ready-To-Run to Ready-To-Race! |

The new T-Maxx is Ready-To-Race with 60% more horsepower from
the all-new TRX2.5 Racing Engine! In the real world of high-performance racing,
the power-to-weight ratio is everything. More power and less weight equal greater
speed and acceleration! Bigger engines in bigger trucks give the illusion of being
more powerful, but all that jumbo sizing adds bulk and weight that just slows
you down. The performance-minded driver knows that using technology and innovation
to increase horsepower, without increasing the size and weight of the vehicle
is the key to going fast. The T-Maxx follows the formula precisely and the results
are wheelies on demand and top speeds in excess of 40 MPH! |

T-Maxx now equipped with TRX2.5 Power
|

The TRX2.5 engine is loaded with advanced engine
design features such as the free-flowing rear exhaust, the unique composite slide
carburetor, and innovative porting that previously would only be found on the
most exotic, modified racing engines. Traxxas brings it all to you and makes it
start with the push of a button.
The TRX2.5 Racing Engine is completely designed and manufactured by Traxxas. The
great thing about TRX2.5 power is that it feels like it is "on-pipe" across almost
the entire RPM scale. There's lots of power down low for tire-spinning, wheelie
popping torque, and there's big power up high for screaming, top-speed performance.
The TRX2.5 Racing Engine was built to provide big horsepower all the time, with
little focus on an exaggerated peak horsepower number that occurs at an impractically
high RPM. It's made for real world drivers like you (and us!) that just want to
rip-it-up on the track, in a field, or anyplace you can find.

Smart Start™
Traxxas' exclusive Smart Start™ technology monitors critical starting
functions, automatically sensing and diagnosing potential problems for trouble-free
engine starting every time. Current starting status is shown by two indicator
lights (LEDs) on the front of the EZ-Start controller, one for the glow plug and
one for the motor. The status of the lights can tell you if the glow plug is bad
or disconnected, or if the motor is stopped due to an overload or disconnected
wire. Special thermal sensing MOSFETs in the EZ-Start controller cut prevent overloads
and damage to the system.
Another important new feature of the EZ-Start 2 is regulated power output that
supplies constant voltage to heat the glow plug, regardless of battery condition
or starter motor load. Even if your EZ-Start battery is starting to weaken, you
can still be confident that the glow plug is getting sufficient voltage to start
the engine. Efficient, MOSFET circuitry provides greater starting power and longer
battery life. |

WideMaxx Suspension System
The New T-Maxx is much faster and more powerful so it has a new
WideMaxx suspension system for superior stability. The track width is over an
inch wider than the original Maxx! Going racing? You'll be pleased to see an all-new
selection of shock mounting positions on the suspension arms and the shock towers.
Out of the box, the suspension is set up for that famous ultra-plush, bottomless
'Maxx suspension feel. When you head for the track, change the angle of the shocks
to slam the T-Maxx low and firm for excellent jumping and cornering that can even
keep pace with traditional race trucks. Even the front caster is easily adjusted
in seconds to precisely tune the handling characteristics. The superior pivot
ball suspension design is retained for unmatched durability and ease of adjustment. |

 |
T-6 Aluminum Chassis
Traxxas has a reputation for building products that hold up under
punishing use and the tradition continues with the new T-Maxx. They beefed up
the thickness of the blue-anodized T-6 aluminum chassis to 3.0mm making it 50%
more rigid. A more rigid chassis allows the suspension to perform more accurately
and reduces wear and tear on other components. |
Suspension Turnbuckles
The new suspension turnbuckles are 3.5mm diameter for increased
strength. The turnbuckles are designed with stops so you get perfect alignment
settings everytime. |
 |
 |
Heavy-Duty Drive Shafts
With 60% more power on tap, stronger driveshafts are
a must. To take the abuse, the T-Maxx is equipped with all-new, larger diameter,
heavy-duty driveshafts. The yokes and the U-joint balls are also larger. The half
shafts are keyed to go together only one way so you'll never have wobbly, out-of-phase
drive shafts. The T-Maxx's U-Joint drive shafts are superior to metal cup and
ball shafts because they can allow greater suspension travel, less wear, and no
metal-to-metal friction. |
Easy, Reliable, Push-Button Engine Starting
The new from the ground up, Traxxas EZ-Start 2™ System brings
the power and convenience of push-button electric starting to the TRX2.5 engine.
Simply plug in the hand-held control unit, push the button, and the EZ-Start System
automatically heats the glow plug and the lightweight, compact on-board drive
spins the engine. There's no need to break a sweat yanking on a starter cord or
keep up with a separate glow plug igniter. |
