| As
Research and Development Designer – General Hobby, you will… |
• Design, test, and develop
a wide variety of product ranging from toys, R/C hobby products, and simple to
complex mechanical devices.
• Assist the R&D Manager in all phases of research and development related
to the design, testing, and tooling to produce product.
• Serve as liaison between Sales, Marketing, Advertising, R&D, and the Product
Team to coordinate new product releases.
• Perform quality control testing on R/C and other products as requested by the
R&D Manager. |
| The
successful candidate will have: |
• Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering or six to ten years of product design experience.
• Previous CAD experience (2D and 3D).
• Technical writing skills.
• Good organizational skills and be self-motivated. |
| Other
desirable qualifications include: |
• Excellent working knowledge of
SolidWorks 3D and Labview programming.
• Product sourcing and negotiation experience with foreign vendors.
• Previous R/C hobby experience.

Manager on the Car Team, you will… |
• Maintain responsibility for the
development of new products, product revisions, and ongoing quality standards
for the R/C car line and related accessories.
• Work with vendors to develop new proprietary products.
• Serve as liaison between Sales, Marketing, Advertising, R&D, and the Product
Team to coordinate new product releases.
• Ensure quality control of Hobbico’s proprietary R/C car products. |
| The
successful candidate will have: |
• A minimum of five years experience
in developing, designing, and/or marketing in the R/C car industry.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge and involvement with R/C car products and the overall
industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. |
| Other
desirable qualifications include: |
• Bachelor’s degree in Business.
• Product sourcing and negotiation experience with foreign vendors.
Ability to travel within and outside the United States on occasion
